Brandon McCaughey
Pastor
I graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies/Theology from Azusa Pacific University, and an M.A. in World Missions/Evangelism from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I have also spent several years on the mission field in Turkey.
I love the Church, talking theology, reading, traveling, Angels baseball, Notre Dame college football, and swimming.
Taylor Negrete
Associate Pastor
Hello! I’m Taylor Negrete, and I’m excited to serve as an associate pastor here at Cornerstone. My journey in faith and ministry has been incredibly fulfilling, and I am passionate about leading others in worship and deepening their relationship with God.
I met my wonderful wife, Vi, during our college years, and we’ve been happily married since 2018. Together, we cherish the moments spent on road trips, exploring new coffee shops, and traveling to discover the beauty and diversity of the world around us. Our adventures bring us closer together and inspire our faith in new ways.
I grew up in the Carson Valley, where I developed a love for nature and community. After graduating from Sierra Lutheran High School, I pursued my higher education at William Jessup University, earning a BA in Psychology with a minor in Bible and Theology. My studies not only deepened my understanding of human behavior but also strengthened my spiritual foundation.
Since 2017, I’ve had the privilege of working in full-time ministry, where I’ve taken on various roles, including Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Associate and Campus Pastor. Each position has enriched my experience and allowed me to connect with individuals of all ages. I feel truly honored to be living out my calling to love God, love people and to further the Kingdom of God.
In my role at Cornerstone, I strive to create an environment where as a congregation we can praise and worship God and experience the refreshment and life-change that only His presence can bring.
I am eager to grow alongside our community, fostering deeper connections and supporting one another in our faith.
Amber Pluckhan
Children's Ministry Director
Hello! My name is Amber Pluckhan and I feel so blessed to be apart of Cornerstone Community Church and the Children’s Ministry here. I moved to Incline Village in May of 2019 with my husband, Ryan and our daughter, Avery. We have loved every second of living in this wonderful community and exploring all Lake Tahoe has to offer. I have a background in teaching elementary education and I love incorporating my experience into the church classrooms as well as our MOPS meetings. As the Children’s Ministry Team Lead, it is an honor to walk alongside families and help each child learn as well as grow in their faith. As a parent, I understand the importance we have in raising up these next generations and providing children with Biblical skills and principles to live in this world and be imitators of Christ. In our Children’s Ministry, we strive to walk with parents in cultivating their child’s faith so that they not only know who their Lord and Savior is, but they would continually lean into Him and His Word daily and in every season. I look forward to meeting you and your children whether it is on Sunday mornings for service, Monday mornings for MOPS, or during any of our amazing and fun events we have in store!
Brien Hosier
Youth Ministry Director
I’m Brien Hosier, originally from Las Vegas, and I moved to Incline to attend college at the local Sierra Nevada University. Since moving here in 2018, I have enjoyed all that Tahoe has to offer with its amazing range of seasons and community. I’ve been actively involved in church life here at Cornerstone since 2019. I’m passionate about serving in youth ministry, and I’m excited to be a part of the church’s ministry to allow young adolescents to encounter Christ just as I did at that age.
Sarah Brown
Youth Ministry Director
I’m originally from Georgia, but after coming to Tahoe in 2019 for an internship, I fell in love with the area and made it my home. I’ve been living here for five years and have been attending Cornerstone since 2021. As Youth Director, my passion is helping students deepen their relationship with God and expand their knowledge of the Bible, all while fostering a fun and supportive environment. I love creating lasting relationships with the kids and encouraging them to build a strong faith foundation that will guide them throughout life.
Matthew Campbell
Church Administrator
Hello and thank you for stopping in to look at the amazing people I get to work with every day!! How can you not fall in love with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when you see how abundantly He is working in and fulfilling each of these people’s lives. I moved to the North Shore of Tahoe in 2002 and fell in love with its natural beauty, the people and the amazing weather we get to enjoy here all year long! I have a degree in business administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I first came to the Lord when I was about 11 years old. My dream as a young boy was to be a pastor. Like so many of us, I fell away from my walk with Christ during my teens and young adult life only to be nudged many times by the Holy Spirit to come back to my Father, my Savior and my truest Friend, Jesus Christ. He is, after all, the only one, EVER, that will never stop listening to me, never stop loving me and never stop being there for me!! I love getting to do all the things that the church needs to get done to thrive within the community. Keeping the church on track, open and ready to serve the community at a moment’s notice is what it’s all about! We are eager to offer assistance in any way we are called on to help those in need. Please email or call if there is something on your heart that you would like us to know about.

My name is Nolan, I have been attending Cornerstone since 2018 and started serving on the Elder board in 2021. Life outside the elder board includes being an entrepreneur, a business owner, and enjoying all the activities that Tahoe has to offer. My wife Jessica and I like to live a life full of adventure, life-giving relationships, new experiences, and gratitude. We have been blessed with two beautiful children that bring us so much joy on this journey of life.
